In a shocking (but not entirely surprising) move, Elon Musk has done it again. The tech billionaire, known for his cryptic tweets and controversial opinions, has unveiled the world’s first flying Tesla prototype.

“This is a historic day!” Musk tweeted. “We’ve changed the way people travel forever!”

Of course, Musk didn’t stop there. He also announced the price of a flight on the new flying Tesla. “It’ll cost about $10,000,” Musk said. “But don’t worry, we’ll be dropping it to $5,000 soon.”

The reaction on social media was mixed. Some praised Musk for “changing the game,” while others criticized him for making “ridiculous” and “unrealistic” comments.
“Elon Musk should focus on solving transportation problems on the ground before he starts taking us to the sky,” wrote one Twitter user.
“I can’t afford a flight in the flying Tesla, but I’ll definitely watch it on YouTube,” wrote another.
It’s unclear at this point whether the flying Tesla will ever be sold commercially. However, one thing is for sure: it has sparked a heated debate about the future of transportation.
And in a related development, Musk also announced that he is developing a new flying Tesla that can travel 1,000 miles on a single charge. “It’s going to be called ‘The Flying Tesla Roadster,’” Musk said. “And it’s going to be available next year.”
