Kate Middleton is battling cancer, and it’s no shock that everyone is focused on her and the British royal family.
Before she chose to share her health situation with the public, the Princess of Wales faced a lot of criticism for not sharing any information about how she was doing or where she was. This led to a lot of gossip and rumors spreading in the media and making headlines in many magazines around the world.
During that time, the Palace remained quiet, with only issuing a statement once in which they claimed Kate was doing well.
After the buzz created by the Mother’s Day picture that Kate shared on social media, which many people, including experts, noticed was edited, the pressure on her and the Palace increased significantly.
Later on, Kate shared a video where she talked about her health issues. She explained that after some tests related to her scheduled abdominal surgery, doctors discovered cancer.
“I wanted to take this chance to personally thank you for all the amazing messages of support and for your understanding while I’ve been recovering from surgery,” Middleton said in the video from March.
“It has been a really tough few months for our whole family, but I’ve had an incredible medical team that has taken great care of me, and I’m so thankful for that.”
This was definitely a big surprise, and William and I have been trying our best to handle everything quietly for the sake of our little family, Middleton shared.
As you can guess, it hasn’t been easy. I needed time to heal from my major surgery before I could start my treatment. But the most important thing has been taking the time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way they can understand, and to comfort them by letting them know that I will be alright.
So far, it’s still unclear what kind of cancer Kate has or what stage it is at.
People are really curious about her condition, especially since King Charles, who is also dealing with cancer, has been seen in public while Kate is managing her situation away from the spotlight.
On a brighter note, Prince William continuing with his royal responsibilities is seen as a good sign that things are improving.
Yet, a new report paints an altogether bleaker picture.
Amaia Arrieta, the clothing designer who has dressed Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, spoke to the Telegraph and said, “I’m really sad right now. I think they are having a really tough time, and I hope they come back soon. It’s very personal for me.”
Arietta was also one of the first people to show her support for the British royals on social media after Kate released her video. She expressed, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Princess of Wales and her family as she bravely faces cancer and goes through preventive chemotherapy. We are here for her, sending our support, strength, and hope for her recovery,” in a post from March.
Last week, a woman asked William how his wife and kids were doing. He replied, “We’re all doing well, thank you.”
The woman then asked, “And what about Catherine?”
William responded, “We’re all doing well.”
